There is no correct width for your stair runner, the taped border does not increase the width of the runner, the tape is wrapped around the edge of the carpet and stitched.

Yes, these types of stair cases have to be templated. We can send you a video with a step by step guide of how to template your staircase. Once you have templated the stairs you need to send us the template to work with.

Determine what width you want your stair runners, this is personal preference. Some customers prefer to see more of the painted step and some prefer to see less of the painted step.

The length of an average step is 50cm, count how many steps you have and multiply this number by 50cm. This will give you the length in metres you will require for a runner. Remember to add an additional 30cm for any risers that lead onto any landing areas.

For Tape only delivery charges start from £12.50 and can take up to 5 working days.

For Stair runners delivery charges start from £25 and can take up to 10 working days.

Yes, it is always advisable to install carpets on the correct underlay and gripper as it makes for a much better install and prolong the life of the carpet. We sell a selection of carpet grippers and underlay.
